Demystifying HTML5

Confused about HTML5? Worry not! This helpful session will clear the cobwebs and help attendees understand what HTML5 really is, and most importantly - what it's not. An excellent place to start prior to attending the HTML5 intensive, or for those who just want a clear understanding of what seems to be a lot of hype.

As the open standard for web applications, HTML5 takes markup to a new level, requiring web developers and designers to re-examine the way we've worked in the past, and will be working in days and months to come. Presented by Molly E. Holzschlag, Web Standards advocate, evangelist, and developer relations team member at Opera Software, this talk helps demystify HTML5 as well as provide real-world insight into how to begin using aspects of the language today.

Molly Holzschlag

Earlier in life, Molly avoided a regular job including those silly start-up ventures and chose instead to write a lot of books and articles and stuff on Web standards, and talk a lot about them, too. She now avoids the former, while the latter is an ongoing inevitability.
