Programming to Patterns

The JavaScript frameworks make it increasingly easy to write highly expressive and concise functionality that enhances an HTML component, but the power of JavaScript's somewhat hidden inheritance model shouldn't be lost in that power. As programmers gain greater control over user experience design, it's more important than ever to write functionality that is reusable, scalable, and as cheap to maintain as possible without affecting performance.
